TABLE GAME

BlackJack

The most popular casino game

Overview

Blackjack is one of the most popular casino table games.
The object of the game is to beat the dealer's hand by having your cards total 21 or as near to 21 as possible without going over.

Depending on the value of the initial two cards dealt to the player, the player may 'Hit' to draw an additional card or 'Stand' to stop. If the player feels unlikely to win the game, he or she may withdraw from the game by choosing the option of 'Surrender' while giving up the half of his or her wager. ('Hit', 'Stand', and 'Surrender' should be indicated by a specified hand signal.)

If the dealer’s initial two cards total 16 or less, the dealer must continue to draw cards until the total reaches 17 or greater. Any participant, including the dealer, whose hand value exceeds 21 automatically loses the game, and this is called a ‘Bust’.

If the player's hand reaches a bust, the hand will be over. If the dealer is a bust, all players still remaining in the hand automatically win. At the completion of each hand, all players who have a higher value than the dealer’s hand will be paid. All players who have a lower value than the dealer’s hand will lose. If there is a tie, the player’s wager will remain as it is and the hand will be over.

If the initial two cards drawn by the dealer or the player are an ace and a ten value card, the hand totals 21 and is called a 'Blackjack'. When a player has a Blackjack, the player will be paid 3 to 2 (1.5 times). When both the player and the dealer have a Blackjack, the hand will be a tie. However, if only the dealer has a Blackjack, the dealer will win.

Double Down(Double Down)

Independently of the total value of the initial two cards, the player can double the wager, in other words, place a second wager equal to or less than the original wager,
provided that he or she draws only one additional card.

After evaluating that the player has better chance to win, the player may say “Double Down” or “Double” when the dealer asks to Hit or Stay.
Put your additional wager next to the original wager and the dealer will handle the rest

Original Betting Double Down

Split(Split)

When the initial two cards have the same value, you have an option of splitting the cards into two hands and playing them separately.

When the dealer asks you to Hit or Stay, say “Split” and you must place a second wager equal to the amount of the original wager.

The player may re-split up to three times creating four separate hands.

10, J, Q, and K are each counted as 10, and can be split.
A Double Bet allows additional wager less than the original wager. However, a Split allows only the same amount as the original wager.
When you Split an Ace only one card will be drawn to each hand and your additional card will be placed horizontally. Doubling down possible after splitting.
1st Split 2nd Split

Even Money(Even Money)

When the player has a Blackjack and the dealer has an Ace as a hole (showing) card, the dealer is likely to offer ‘Even Money’ to finish the game in order to prevent a Tie in case the dealer also has a Blackjack.

When the dealer shows an Ace and asks the player with a Blackjack whether to accept Even Money, and if the player calls Even Money, then the game is over after Even Money is paid 1 to 1.

In case the player doesn’t accept Even Money and the dealer has a Blackjack, it will be a tie. However if the dealer does not have a Blackjack, the player gets 3 to 2(1.5 times) pay of his original wager.

Insurance(Insurance)

If the dealer’s face-up card is an Ace, the player can make an Insurance bet of half the amount of the original bet or less to guard against the possibility that the dealer has a Blackjack.

If the dealer’s face-up card is an Ace and the dealer asks the player if he/she wants insurance, the player can make an Insurance bet up to half the amount of the original bet.

Insurance Insurance Betting
  • If the dealer has a Blackjack, all players without insurance bet lose their original wager. However, if there’s an insurance bet, the player wins twice the amount of the insurance bet, which means the player gets the amount of the original wager back despite the original bet having been lost.
  • If the dealer doesn’t have a Blackjack, the player loses only the insurance bet. If there is a Blackjack hand without Even Money, the Blackjack will be paid and hand will continue in its original manner.

Limit(Limit)

The Maximum and Minimum limits of wager is assigned on each table, which is called a Limit. There are more than two limits assigned on each table. Player may choose the limit he/she desires.
